Ouma’s African Loofah
This is a family heirloom, grown by my Ouma for years. She received seed from a farmer in the Mpumalanga district. It’s a slightly smaller fruit than the European Loofah, and we find that the ‘weave’ is finer and not quite a coarse as the European one. Planting and harvest is exactly the same.
